THE DESIGNER
Thomas Henry is Founder and creative director at HENRE. Thomas was born in the southwest of the UK and has always had an affinity with the ocean, spending his time on the beaches of Devon & Cornwall, swimming, surfing and scuba diving.
Thomas studied fashion and textiles graduating with BA(Hons) from UCA design school in London. He has always had an interest in textile design as well as tailoring and fit. When Thomas graduated he worked as a creative pattern maker for many of the top menswear brands in London. In 2016, he moved to New York and took a role as a senior designer for a men’s resort-wear brand.
It is Thomas’ heritage in both design and pattern making that has led to his signature style where colourful and playful prints sit alongside a high-quality tailored fit. This style is evident in Thomas’ vision for HENRE - a beautifully tailored swim short that can be worn outside a complementary playful swim brief.
Thomas is passionate about the environment. He believes that we can live sustainably alongside the natural world but to do so requires changes in our lifestyles and choices. One way we can make a change is to buy high quality and sustainable fashion so you can swim in the ocean knowing that you are doing your bit to protect it.
